What began in 1961 as a small outfit of three employees specializing in the sale of copiers has grown to become one of Japan's largest IT and OA firms. Our workforce now totals 8,202 employees operating in the parent company and 9 subsidiaries*. We realized very early on that office automation would be the trend of the future. Since then, we have become the premier "One Stop" solution provider for improving office efficiency.

Sales and Number of Employees

The following graphs show the development of sales and number of employees from 1961 through 2010.

The chart shows the annual sales and number of employees from the founding of the company in 1961 to the present. Since 1997, the number of employees has remained relatively stable, however sales recorded a remarkable increase starting in 2002. Annual sales for FY 2009 is estimated to be 421 billion yen. The total number of employees is expected to be 6,778 at the end of FY 2009.

For the period between 1961 and 2000, the number shown indicates the approximate total number of employees for the year. From 2001, the number indicates the total number of employees at the end of the preceding year.
